Amendment to the Court fees, Rule of Procedure and Guidelines of the UPC per 2026

On 4 November 2025, the Administrative Committee decided to amend the Table of Court fees and relevant provisions of the Rule of Procedure of the UPC and the Guidelines on the determination of Court fees.

 

The key features of the amendments are as follows:

  • Adjustment of the current court fees in line with inflation since 2016,
  • 10 % increase of the value-based fees before the Court of Appeal,
  • Introduction of a value-based fee for provisional measures and other applications,
  • Adaptation of the scheme for reimbursement of Court fees, and
  • Measures to limit the effects of the Court fee amendments to SMEs.

 

Along with the Court fees (consolidated), respective provisions of the Rules of Procedure (consolidated) and the Guidelines (consolidated) on the determination of Court fees are amended as well.
