Practice
Studied Chemistry at Keio University in Yokohama (Japan). Immediately after completing his master's degree, Masaoki joined the IP department of Philips in Tokyo in 2002. After a few years, he moved to the Netherlands where he has worked for DSM, Philips, and at a Dutch IP office for a few years. Since September 2021, he has been working at AOMB as a Senior European and Japanese Patent Attorney.
Masaoki has a chemical background and extensive experience in chemistry and polymers.
What Masaoki loves about the IP, is that you come into contact with so many experiences and actually see interesting developments. Entrepreneurs can get very excited when they've made a new discovery, when you can make them even happier by helping them with IP, it's immensely satisfying.
Partly because of his Japanese background, he hopes to be able to serve and expand our customer base of Japanese accounts even better.
Besides his work, bouldering is a great hobby and he likes to travel a lot.
