Jeff has considerable experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the mechanical, electrical and electronic fields, including the principal subject matter areas of computer architectures, digital communications, computer gaming technology, flat panel displays, digital video coding and domestic appliances. He has also had experience in drafting patent applications in the financial and business methods areas, primarily for filing in the US.
Jeff is a fully qualified Chartered UK Patent Attorney (CPA) and European Patent Attorney (EPA), with 12 years experience in the profession. In that time, Jeff have been involved in all aspects of patent law practice, including the preparation (drafting) and prosecution of UK, European, International (PCT) and overseas patent applications, as well as post-grant issues such as patent rights transfers and patent disputes both in the UK and abroad.
Jeff manages very large European specific patent portfolios for a number of global corporations, as well as a number of international patent portfolios for UK based SMEs.
Jeff has extensive non-European patent prosecution experience, including in the following jurisdictions: USA; China; Japan; Australia; Canada; India; Taiwan; Indonesia; Malaysia.
