Practice

Frank has a broad experience in litigating and advising on almost all aspects of intellectual property law, amongst which patents, designs, trademarks, databases, copyright, trade names and unfair competition, and in drafting IP related agreements (licenses, R&D agreements etc.). Furthermore, he has litigation experience in the field of information technology (e.g. automation disputes) and he assists clients with the drafting of IT agreements. In addition, Frank regularly establishes and implements customs seizure programs under the Anti-Piracy Regulation.

 

Frank is a member of the editorial board of Intellectuele Eigendom & Reclamerecht (Intellectual Property & Advertising Law), editor-inchief of the Patent Litigation Smart Charts kluwerpatentlaw.com, editor-in-chief of Global Patent Litigation (Kluwer), in which he co authored the Dutch chapter and the chapter on the European Patent Convention, and is co-author of the loose-leaf comments on the 1995 Dutch Patents Act (Elsevier). In addition, Frank is a research assistant at the Centre for Intellectual Property Law (Utrecht University). He also regularly lectures at the Dutch Institute for Patent Attorneys.
